cruise control effect gas mileage?

i use cruise control constatnly cuz ima lazy bastard when idrive, i use it anywhere and everywhere no matter how fast im going.....is this bad for my mileage or antyhing at all for my car?

Most people will get a bit better mileage when using the cruise control. It keeps a steadier "foot" on the gas pedal than most of us can do manually. This results in increased fuel mileage.

Ive always heard opposite, because the car wont let it go under a certain speed. Most people when they drive accelerate then let it coast to about 3-5 mph under the limit. CC doesnt.

But what Mike said makes sense.
