steering pop

Not sure where and how to diagnose the problem, but my auto I4 Gen4's been recently making a popping/thump from the driver's side. It happens when I accelerate and turn right at the same time.

E.g. I come to a full stop at an intersection. Turn the steering wheel to the right to make the turn. As soon as I touch the throttle, the pop occurs.

Hope it's not major, as I don't the time to deal w/it.

Check your CV boots. If they're torn, its time to replace the axle.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

Cool. I'll look into the CV boots. I've seen some boot kits @ AutoZone. If it is indeed the boot, is it worth the effort to fix it that way, or should I go all out and replace the axle assembly?

Cool. Thanks for the input. I drove around town for ~100 miles, and it's getting pretty annoying. Any thoughts on how much it'd cost to have it fixed, parts + ?? hr labor?

If if remember correctly, I paid about 360 for both axels installed on a gen 3.5 a couple of years ago! Its much less if you do it yourself! Check ebay! Plenty of axels there for sale.

Great, thx for the pricing input. Pulled the wheel out, and didn't see any grease. Makes me wonder if it's truly the CV boot. In any case, gonna take it to the shop to see what's wrong. Wish me luck.
