Replacing Battery Cables

Does anyone know how to replace battery cables, is that something that I could easily do myself? I have a 96 camry 4 cylinder LE.

it is not to hard, if you have done some electrical work before... JUST take your time and be careful... make sure to disconnect stuff properly or you can really hurt youreslf or fry your car...

basically just look where they used to be, take them off with that in mind and don't hook anything up until they are all rerouted.... otherwise you could have live 12V wires, and that whole hurting yourself thing comes to mind...

i did it when i got my optima, to extend the wires to fit better... so i just went with all new 4gauge stinger wire...

phi wrote this up nicely, for a gen4 1mz, but yeah enjoy!

You mean something like this?

Was a pain in the ass for me to do. Cutting 4 gauge wire and trying to splice two pieces together is not fun. Don't even try to solder, just get a solid butt connector (I think that's what they're called). I got some metal ones from Menards with screws built in.

It's a Stinger HPM or something... I spent way too much money on it than I should have. You can find it on eBay.
