2ND GEN PERFORMANCE

OK, I'm getting sick and damn tired of making averything for my car! Does anyone know if I can buy performance engine parts for another angine that will fit perfectly in a 3SFE? I was thinkin at least some cams, or anything! I've looked at jcwhitney, nopi, summit (kinda browsed their catalog, cudn't see anything for any imports). I've done exhaust, suspension, steering, interior, exterior, body, lighting, audio, everyting i've done for this car has been "universal fit" applications. I havent bought one thing for my car that was vehicle specific (except for the valve cover gasket). I am encourging ALL 2nd gen owners to join me in the search for 2nd ger Performance websites, or shops around the country that manufacturs them. Lucky hunting!

There is not a large enough market for these companies to produce parts. Brian Harmer (hotwheelharmer) has collected a bunch of info on 3sfe upgrade parts. He has been a great source of information for me. He would be able to tell you about alot of stuff.

Hey like DIRTBIKEZ said I have done a ton of research of what can fit on the 3sfe engine. I have found everything for the internals and am still researching things like throttle body and underdrive pulleys for the alternator and the power steering pump. Im me on aol or msn screen name hotwheelharmer or email me at TRDcamry88@aol.com I can anwser your questions and tell you where to look for things.

hey hotwheel, i was looking at those underdrive crank pulleys plus the rest of the pulley set, but i was concerned that i would lose power for my accesories. i've got the car set up as a cruising car and i've got a fair sized stereo system so i'd want to be able to use all the functions. what would i be losing out if i had those pulleys (or even just crank pulley)? what performance gains can be expected for our kind of camrys'?

Well right now I have only found a pulley for the crank and for the alternator. The one for the crank is made specifically for the camry. The alternator underdrive pulley is made for the 3rd gen supra. I am in the process of looking for a power steering underdrive pulley. For your question if you got just the crank pulley your alternator and your port steering and ac will not turn as quickely so they will not be working as well. They will work but if you have a pretty big sound system I would suggest just staying with the pulleys. Having the crank and the alternator pulley will help a little bit but it still wont be like it was stock. So you just need to figure out if you want better sound or better performance.
