Looks and sounds pretty good. What are the stock specs for the 3sge? What turbo are you going with?

I think its only 135 maybe more. chose this Engine because i had a 3sfe but i spun all my bearings and messed up all my bottom end so decided it was time for a engine swap! And as for the turbo im probably going to go with the ct26 if i could ever find one cheap. If not i'll take a T3 or T4 from a volvo.( much easier to find!!)

Sound nice. But you do know that reving an engine past redline is bad for it right. high reving engines are balenced well thats why they can rev so hi.

well the redline on my tach is from my old 3SFE motor I Have the 3SGE and The redline on that engine is much higher! 3SFE redline-6000; 3SGE redline around 7200!!

how come you didn't go the 3sgte route why 3sge and then turbo? but nice job

need more gen2 ppls around there..... and bakawill the 3sfe redlines at 6200 while the 3sge redlines at 7000-ish so it's ok for him to take it that high with the other engine

well i didnt have that much money and the 3SGTE was too expensive. and that was my only car so i needed something now. so I decided the next best thing would be the 3SGE. and when money is available i'll get a turbo set up. By the way does any one know how much boot this engine can take?

oh man a 3sge in a gen 2 rapes. i hope you arent using the standard gearbox because that the next to go out =)

remember the beams 3sge with trd parts (all in their catalogue) makes over 280hp and its only 2 liters =)

bigger, itb's will make some big gains =)

yeah the next thing to go is my tanny . the gearing sucks

.any suggestions. i was acually saving up for a gt4 front clip but my engine fucked up sooner than i expected. and the Beams is a beautiful engine and i actually was thinking about it but like i said no money. But later i do plan on buying a 6th gen celica and swapping it out for that 3SGE RED TOP Beams

And converting it to AWD or RWD. but thats for later!!!

shawn (also from HI) had swapped 3s motor in his 6th gen celica. I saw your post first at HI and then here. Good work, do you guys ever meet in/around houston?? (still at jillians on saturdays??) nice swap, good sleeper!

Yeah Thanks man, it wasnt easy. And there are some meets but i havnt attended any yet. but i hopfully will be at houston motorsports park this friday. Yeah and my bro ( KA20DE some crap like that ) has a Grand Am and hes got a little surprise for later.

Thanks. the whole exhaust is not connected. only has the manifold right now. i would like to keep it that way but i need to drive it to work so i need to get the rest of the exaust so i wont get pulled over!!
