Leather seats

Hi guys, I have a 96 camry with cloth seats and i'm trying to get a set of powered leather seats. Can anyone give me some ideas on how to hooking up extrra wire to the power seats. I used the "search" function but search result threads didn't tell me anything. Thanks

word has it that some of the camrys were prehardwired and there might already be a fused wire set to use

otherwise, just wire up a constant power from your fuse box, or even off your battery and just hook it up- should be pretty simple and straightforward

not sure, but I wouldn't presume any more than 16 gauge....since most of the wiring throughout the car is 16 gauge. But if you're running a power line yourself, it wouldn't hurt to use 8 gauge either- then you can also tap off of it for any other things that require a constant power

and sorry, no idea about the amps- but the fuse is more for incase of a short than anything else, really.

post up the question specifically asking people with power seats and see if they can find a fuse amperage for you

good luck
