Anybody had problems with lowered CV axles?? - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

I just got a 4 wheel alignment and the guy that did it said that with my car being lowered it will wear out my CV axles. I kinda figured that when I lowered it, but the way this guy was talkin its gonna go out within the next 10k miles, and they're new axles. Has anyone else had this problem (preferably a 2nd gen Cam), and if so is there any way to fix it? if not i'm gonna have to raise the front back up, which will be kool cuz i'm gonna keep the back lowered so its gonna look bagged! Ehh, maybe not, but it might be kool if I have to do it.

well with 1.75" drop they may ware out faster but i doubt that you will have problems for a long long time.. don't worry aoubt it.. life is to short, if it breaks it breaks and fix it then

I have 1.25" lowering with about 30,000KM on it since it was lowered.. no problems

just dont hit any pot holes or dips... before i lowered my car my cv joint was already alittle shot. after i lowered my car it stayed the same until i i drove over a big dip, bottomed out hard and now the shot cv joint is probably broken now. went from little ticking sounds sometimes around corners to scary ass clanking sounds.
