Hey guys...almost everytime i goto start my car in the morning, or after letting it sit for a long period of time, when i turn the key the cars power stays on, no clicking, but doesnt try to crank...just the sound of something electronic trying to run....ex. (eeeeeeeeeee). I have to turn the key back and forth about 3 times in order for it to actually try to crank. Also about once a week or so when i try to start it, the power cuts out. i then have to push down on the battery cable (+) to get the damn thing to keep power. So today i removed my power wire going to my subs just to make sure that wasnt the problem, well...i went out a min ago, and it did the same crap where i had to try 3 times to get it to start. The battery is less than 2 months old, it has 660 CCAs, so that shouldnt be the problem....could it be my spark plugs? or a belt? or my starter? Any ideas? Thanks guys!
Clean and or replace your battery cables and connections first!

yea...that stuffs all fine...how do i check my starter? get a new one? go get it checked out some where? am i looked at where i put in my key?...im retarded with this stuff...still tryin to learn.
The starter drive(gear) has a clutch that allows one way slippage but your's is slipping both ways when cold.
Replace the starter, if you have it rebuilt insist they replace the drive.

If you are having to push on the positive cable to start it then everything is not fine. Check it again!

i sort of had the same problem with mine..No clicking, but it didnt go "eeeeee".. It would just do nothing..(after it sat for a while is when it would do it) and it took like 3 or 4 tries to crank...It ended up just being the plunger in my starter, which i had toyota rebuild.
i had that problem before and it was my starter,,its nothing really expensive,,and its worth changing if thats the problem,,also get your altenator cheked in case,,and also take off ur battery and clean the terminals,,use sand paper,,that alwayz works,,gets al taht corrosion and stuff off and lets the current pass more easily
Your clamps are not loose are they? You should NOT be able to twist them with moderate hand pressure. If you can, shim them with a piece of metal like a small electrical connector. A penny will work if you smash it flat with a hammer.
If they are the stamped metal kind (as opposed to the old lead kind) you can just rmeove the clamp, squash it a little with pliers to make it more oval instead of round, and bolt it on and now it should be tight.
