I'm curious to know how many miles I can expect from my (2006) Camry given excellent maintenance. Pls respond if you have more than 200,000 miles. What year Camry do you have? Did you use synthenic oil/other lubricants? thanks
93 camry 4 cyl with 202,000 miles. Use regular oil. Almost everything on the cars leaks to some extent and the auto transmission is starting to act strange, but otherwise a good car.
beat this, '96 camry standard, 237,000 miles, and runs excellent, nothing wrong with it all except in the cold the driver side door doesnt unlock lol.....other than that the best damn car ever period
93 dx i4 5sfe 5 speed, 251,800 miles, just changed timing belt and water pump, thermostat yesterday. i just use regular oil , whichever is onsale at walmart, burn about a qt of oil every 3,000 miles, and burn some coolant, probably head gasket going bad, need to top off the coolant reservior every 3 month.
^^Wow, 250,000+ miles! It makes our Camry with 97,714 miles sound new My neighbor's mother drove an older-model Tercel to 170,000 miles (she's now driving the Hyundai Excel I previously drove), and all it needs is some muffler work and repairs for rust on the rear fenders.
Overall, expect your Camry (or any Toyota for that matter) to last for many, many years and many, many thousands of miles. They wouldn't have built such a good reputation if their cars didn't have superior dependability and build quality.

i know you said over 200k but i have 186k on it and thats pretty close.
its a 1995, 4cyl, and only have had dino oil in it.
still runs great, but has a small, slow oil leak from the valve cover gasket i beieve.
2005 Camry LE I-4,,has 291 000km used as a Downtown toronto cab,,driving 24/7 never stops,,alwayz change shifts,,only stays shut for a maximum of 2 hours,,no problems whatsoever except ABS kinda stopped working and regular 10W 30 oil change from Toyota and only 2 major tunes ups every since
(2) 1995 Camre LE I-4,,has about 340 000KM minor oil leak and fixed it,,muffler blew once,,and only 3 major tune ups,,,i use regular 10W 30 Castrol GTX oil,,and Fram Oil filter,,
1990 Camry DX I4 Automatic Trans, 286,000 miles. regular motor oil(valvoline). The oil pan just started leaking on me. At 200,000 when i got the car i changed the timing belt and waterpump and tensioners(all still oem) she runs great though.
I'm just around the corner from 180,000 on a 94 camry LE V6 Sedan. I am the second owner, and all this car has needed is regular maintenance. Has had the timing belt replaced, new battery, brakes, just replaced the OE axles this weekend they were shot, and the ball joints-showed wear but had some life left-have always change the oil at least twice a year air filters every 6-7000 miles and spark plugs every 2 years. Also had to replace the Y pipe last year as they rust out at the flex joint. The power antenna started making noise last month so I left it up and unplugged the motor. Also had to replace the power drivers window regulator last month. Changed some exterior bulbs and adjusted the parking braked for inspection sticker last month, and it passed emmissions without a tune up or oil change. But the motor runs strong transmission has never missed a beat. Overall a reliable car that has given less problems than others I have owned at this mileage. It needs struts REALLY REALLY BAD though it still has the OE's at all 4 corners and I dont' think they were intended to be on the car this long. I'll be replacing them next paycheck.
Well, my sig needs a little updating, because my 1990 V6 now has 345,000km on it (roughly 215,000 miles). Still purrs like a kitten, except for a small leak in the head gasket (oil only, thankfully--the coolant still isn't leaking). The 5-speed tranny is unbelieveably smooth and reliable, never had a single problem with it (even the rear main has never leaked)!
