Brake lights aren't broken, I just don't brake.

i have seen alot of swaps that required more work than that...anyone ever seen the VW Golf with the Northstar V8 under the hood? or the 5.0L Ford Focus w/ RWD?

i know its the same engine but i thought that the gen 3.5 diddnt come with a manual so i wondered if the transmission would give any trouble. and i diddnt know if there were any subtle changes in the engine that may effect the mounting.

I thought the solara used a different manual tranny, the E153 or somthin like that. Either way, everthing should bolt up fine, the hardest part would probly be sourcing the parts and wiring it up.
for the gen 3/3.5...i know it was possilble to get a manual if you stuck with a standard model.

- Yes, its possible (actually completely doable and easy)
- You just need all the running gear and ecu/harness.
- All V6 manual 3vz's and 1mz's had the E153...there was no other tranny..apart from early 2vz ones.
i would need a 1mzfe, manual tranny, and whatever would be needed to convert a current auto to a manual. and whatever else it would tkae to complete it.
i have never looked at engine prices and dont know where exactly to look and i just went to ebay and looked but they diddnt have much.
