lowering question.

Happy New Year to you all L's and G's!!!!!!

How stiff does the ride get when car is drop to 1.2 or 1.4/1.3 from it's original stand? Does the strut has alot to do with the ride also when drop? My location is NY and the roads are very bad. What would you recomend!!! I am also trying to deside on tokico or kyb's as struts.

the stiffness of your ride will be more in the struts than the springs...if the roads where you are are REALLY bad, then it may even be a saftey issue if you were to just drop the car without changing the struts also....bouncy bouncy = potential to lose traction = no good....

that, and if you don't do the labor yourself, it's cheaper to get both done at once...

good luck

If you swap your stock suspension (springs and struts) the ride will be noticably firmer and perhaps even less comfortable. You will feel the bumps in the road. Be prepared to loose that comfortable stock ride you currently have. The trade off is, you'll get better and more responsive handling.
As for choices, if you're on a budget you can get Sprint or Intrax springs along with KYB struts. I would highly recommend you spend alittle more money and go with H&R or Eibach (TRD) springs with Tokico struts. I feel these are better products.
Another thing, you've got a Gen4 right? You know about the recalled strut mounts right? There a possabilty that you'll get knocking from aftermkt struts. Keep that in mind.

Don't forget to factor install price into your budget, unless you plan to install yourself.

BTW, did you ever get that wierd idle problem figured out? What was it?
