4th Generation can someone help me out ? my trunk light isn't working

so when i open my trunk, the light comes on, but today, i cut the plug off to the light and stuck it on my cold cathodes. they didn't light up. i tested the wires and it showed no voltage going thru ??

my cathodes work when i hook them up to the other 12v lights but not the trunk one ? are my wires bad, fuse blown ? does it share fuses with any other thing ? if not maybe its the fuse...

The polarity of the cathod inverter is very sensative. Did you reverse the polarity of the inverter when you put it in? Coz, this can permanently damage the inverter and thus, the cathods will not light up. Try putting another power source on the cathod and make sure if it works.
