it's really not worth the trouble to install it yourself, since you'll need to get it painted anyway
and sorry, I can't direct you to a shop, since we have our own guy to do our paint/body stuff, but it should cost about $200-$250 for install and paint from an independent shop. But make sure that you talk to them before hand and that they understand how to install it first though- many shops won't understand how to cut it if you didn't get the lip new from rmm w/ the instructions
good luck, and hopefully somebody here has a body shop they can recommend

That is a pretty solid ballpark cost. Any quality looking shop can do the work.
If the place looks like a dump, they can probably do the work better, but it takes longer cause of the drinking...
If you bought your lip directly from RMM (and yes they are still in production, I just bought one) They will send out install instructions on how to put the lip on. There will be some cutting of the stock bumper that will HAVE to be done. This is so the lip will fit right and not look like a ghetto rig. You can do it your self, the instructions are detailed enought, that a trained circus monkey could do it. It just takes confinence, time, and a dremel to do it. Then take it to a paint shop and get it painted. As for me I'm going to paint the lip mat black with a satin clear coat, to match the door handles and the rest of the trim
^^^ The RMM lip is Poly as well. After you cut it to mount, you can mount it with 3M auto tape. That sould work just fine, or you could go the route and rivit the lip on. I was talking to the guy a RMM and he said they use 3M auto tape and they have not had a problem with it.
Ok, i have this. It's a piece of cake to instal yourself and you can save the cost of installation by doing it yourself. really all you need is some screws, a utility knife to cut the stock bumper and maybe some epoxy or adhesive tape to keep it tight around the edges. seriously, it's so easy that anyone could do it. save the money of an install and do it yourself. then just take it to get painted. they'll prolly take it off to paint it, so don't do the glue or tape at first.(it really isn't necesary at all.) but since it's allready installed they shouldn't charge for one.
I was wondering, where would be a good place to get it painted and install in the GTA area. (preferrably not too expensive)
Thanks.....
Don't do it yourself because if you mess something up, it will only cost more to get a bodyshop to clean up your mistakes and to redo it properly. Not worth the hassle when you could have some sort of warranty/negotiation with the shop if the paint wasn't good, etc etc.. if you let the bodyshop do all the work. If you do half the work, in most cases, the shop will not be liable for any defects or problems that may arise.
I would recommend Car Wings Auto located on 60 Green Lane, Thornhill, ON. They do all my paint/bodywork and I find them the best in the GTA area.
