idea for a COSMETIC mod. yea or ney?

on Sunday I went to the Pittsburgh International auto show, all new cars and some concepts. overall it was well worth it. a couple highlights were getting close to the gen6 camry, the Injen scion tc., and Hines Wards' actual super bowl escalade...

onto my idea for a COSMETIC new mod...
VW had their new golf & jetta there and there was a small crowd admiring this white GTI.
.
.

then after i got home, I was inspired to photochop my front a bit like so.
.
.

so what do you think? i blacked out the chrome on my grill last summer, give me some comments about painting on a dark red stripe. thanks

edited: had to clarify what kind of mod this is.

hmm wouldn't look bad but i think you would need some other red accents on you car to even it out.

No.

If you want to black out the grill that is fine. But the red stripe looks rediculous.

It is equivalent, in my book, to people who paint their windshield wipers yellow.

those projectors sure do look nice. Or you could put a shiny chrome emblem in the middle of the blackened grille.

I think it might look good, but maybe not that bright of a red.

^anything you personally do to your car is a mod, not everyone can shell out insane money for carbon trun ks and the like. modding your car in any way is commendable to me...

i say it may look decent on a white car, but i dont know... a good idea nonetheless

You mean to tell me that putting a "little dood pissing on something" sticker is a mod and is "commendable"??? My opinion is that if you are so unsure if you wanna do something like this "mod" that you have to ask all the other guys for their input, maybe it should NOT go on your car...

I have nothing against what people call mods, IMO this thread is funny.. I have been modding since 94 youngen, I know how it feels like to try and save up pennies for some springs or some clear corners or even cut my stock springs and learn how to do the labor myself cuz I cannot afford them. Financial resources help, but have nothing to do with this thread.. And some ideas should just stay as that... an idea.....

i don't think i would do that on a black car. Black out the headlights. That would look nice...but from the front......it does look like it needs some more color to it. unless you're going for all black or something? but then your rims has to have a chrome lip.

holy crap man i didnt mean to piss you off, im just saying that to me if someone even thinks about doing anything to help their cars appearance, more power to them. some people dont even know what kind of car they are driving or where the gas goes in, i say props for caring about your car. better to ask opinions than to do it and get flamed for it. just my two cents
