Got a great deal on 4 new struts!!!

OK I was originally going to go for the monroe assemblies but I came across a deal for 4 (2 front 2 rear) Gabriel Ultra nitrogen gas charged struts. 206.48 INCLUDING shipping! The dealership wants 175.00 EACH for oe struts??!!! and that is just the struts, that would be $700.00 !!!! WOW!! The gabriels are very high quality that exceed oem. You definatley need to shop around when buying struts, there are some very good deals out there, that basically end up being "buy 4 get one free pricing" but I have seen many instances of the same brand/part numbersed struts sold by different vendors for $60-70 more than what you would pay from someone else. Shop around. My deal came out to less than what I would have spent at autozone or advanced auto parts by $15 a strut!!

Eh... I'd still rather pay more and go for something more performance-oriented, like Tokico, Bilstein, or Koni (none of which currently have applications for the Gen 5... yet).

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

I agree but only if you are modding for racing or really high performance driving; other than that for OE replacements of equal or higher quality for normal every day drivng to replace 180,000 mile original worn parts, than the smart thing to do is shop for the best price possible. Spending money on bilsteins or Koni's is a waste of money if you are never going to drive to their potential and just want to freshen up your worn original parts, there is no need at all to spend 100+ each for struts. That being said if I were to have been looking for performance I would have bought bilsteins if it makes you feel better
