I have about 4 switches to hide, they are the size of the power switch on the power supply on the power supply of computers. I want to hide them from sight. I was thinking about the center arm rest, but then I worry about things in there sliding around switching things on or off. I was also thinking about the glove box, but then I couldnt take the box out to replace the filter behind it. I was also thinking about just to the left of the drivers leg, but there isnt enough room in there. ANy other suggestions?
If you are hardcore with wiring and you wanna go ultra stealth, you could take existing buttons on your dash (radio, hvac ect) and wire em up for whatever your switches enable now. Otherwise the armrest would be your best place, but just build some guards around them so nothing will hit them.
.....the place where the plastic covers the under side of the steering column
.....inside the little covered storage compartment (where people keep disc jackets)
.....up where you keep the sunglasses
.....upsidedown where your clock is
.....right alon where you right leg would touch the center console
.....right underneath the dash--along the parts not part of the steering column...
..want more?
i'm assuming since you are hiding them, you'll know what use each is for and so will memorize what each is for....i have a few hiddent switches too.
edit.... muhaha....
..... along underneath any part of your fabric where you can just feel the buttons, but you can't see them at all

I like the sun glass place, but that means taking apart the headliner to run the wires, a little too much work for me. These switches are about an inch tall and mount in a hole .5 by .25 inches, so the clock isnt feasable. I am thinking about the top tier of the center armrest
These switched are for lighting and power. I am taking those power inverters and hard wiring them in so that there is a normal 3 prong outlet in the dash. This will be direct wire to the battery so I need a switch to prevent the battery from draining down.
I put a push button switch under the handle to the coin drawer, to the left of the steering wheel in my Gen5 before. You would put your hand on the drawer as if opening it and press the button with your index finger to operate it.
I had a push button momentary switch, but you can get push button on-off switches also.
I taped the wire to the under side of the drawer and cut away some plastic on the dash so the wire had clearance.
If you go to pep boys they sell a kit for like 20 bucks that is a flat fanel switch for 4 things. Its really small like the switch for my reverse gauges. Id go to pep boys and check it out if you got one near.
Its really cool and i think their adjustable from momentary to constant.
