Like it says. I see and love the TRD muffler. I really want to get one to go with my TRP CAI that will be released soon. Some places market it for both the I4 and V6...While others say only V6...I talked with some one from TRD HQ and they gave me a less than satisfactory explanation as to why it would only be marketed to the V6 application. They said well it just is and hung up and I was bewilder'd to say the least. I mean is it really that different from the V6 to I4 from the catalytic converter back???? Input and truth of the matter would appriciated. Best places to buy from?? Thanks.
Most guys are saying that it pops the old one off and the TRD pops right back on. Bolts flanges and all. And is the install in general easy to do. I'm really wanting to do it on my own for both cars. From what I am told its only one hanger thats a pain but over all its generally a smooth change out. And whats the diff in keeping the resonator on or off?
Yeah, its a real' easy install. The TRD one comes with all the nuts and bolts necessary (2 nuts, 2 bolts).
If you take the resonator off, it'll be louder, but you risk making it sound ricey. The TRD muffler has a built-in resonator so that the sound stays nice and deep, but its also not too loud. So it sounds very aggressive, but you won't hear it 2 blocks away lol. But believe me, I've turned plenty of heads with the current sound.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

Okay for a GEN4 wether I4 or V6 it will fit the same.....
From a GEN 3 to a Gen4 or vice versa, is where I meant you MIGHT have to goto a shop... This is what my solara sounded like with a TRD exhaust, 2.5" piping, 3" custom y-pipe, Injen Intake, Resornatorless...
Speaking of mufflers, does anyone have a sound clip of a Greddy Evo2 catback on a 4th gen? Was looking at buying one and wondering how it sounded, thanks.
And the TRD mufflers had better bolt on and fit correctly...I mean, it IS TRD...They specialize in modifying Toyotas...So im sure they would hopefully take the time to make it so the muffler would be a direct fit into the factory muffler's place...Otherwise it would just be another universal muffler.
I've heard and seen the TRD's and love em and I saw a couple places with the Greddy Evo Catback "for V6" for like 60 bucks more. Think these will fit my Gen 4-I4 too and would it do more to bump HP since there will be more piping opened up? And would it be a bolt off bolt on swap out like the TRD or would it need to go to a shop for welding?? I have only seen pics. Havn't see video of after install driving and or installed pixs. I don't want it to sound like a rice rocket rattle can. I love the sound TRD makes. But it would be cool for me if the Greddy Evo catback worked too and freed up more HP and sounded as good or better. Any thoughts??

Pork, search for TRD parts or TRD mufflers or what ever your looking for and it will come up. And I didn't get around to ordering yet. So any one else who would like to put thier $.02 in about TRD or the Greddy Evo 2 and places to buy, ease of install etc. would be much appriciated. Thanks all. Can't wait to get all my stuff and get it in and fire it up!!
