Question has anyone try this bulb before??

has anyone tried using these bulbs (#1 LED) for their GAUGE lights??

#1 LED (9 LEDs)

#2 LED (5 LEDs)

I just want to know, which 1 work best for the gauge Lights?? #1 or #2 LED??

Thanks,
Leasaunce

i used the second ones in my gauges when i had my Gen3, i also put foil inside the gauges to spread and enhance the light a little bit more (do this with care, as you dont want to short circuit anything )

the outcome looked pretty good

Both of those you posted pics of don't work well, the lowest doesnt spread the light
even, and the up most would do better in a flashlight i other words to concentrated.

This one works

The total height is 54, but when the bulb is mounted in the socket
it sticks 35mm up, the diameter is 25mm

well that big assed one clearly says 3156/7, so its a brake light or similar.

personally ive tried the second one you posted. its pretty good, but not very white. plus i think i missed a green one behind the PRND21 cluster on my gen 3 so it still has a green tinge in the middle.

I am gonna try to mount a CCFL behind the dash.

I have 5 of the second ones also.

You could mod teh 3156s to work but they are 2 exp for me to try with.

SnakeEyes - where did you get your red ones? I just had one stop working. The people on Ebay are a little expensive compared to the blue/amber/whjite ones.
