3rd Generation Bumpy ride

Hi guys, after switch to 17" rims from stock 14" steelies, I felt every bump on the road. This can be a big deal for me because I live in NYC and every road has a pot hole. Aside from change the structs and may be adding a whiteline rear sway bar, is there any other way to improve ride comfort a little? My Camry is still running on stock springs and structs (the structs are going soon thought).

well, i'm sure you are on low profiles?... that makes a difference too.. you came from fat tires to fat rims and small tires. but ya, you can look for some softer struts and springs at the cost of performance...ie lowering and stiffer suspension.

just to tell you, changing you struts/springs and adding a swaybar will give you better handling, but it will NOT give you a smoother ride- it will make it even bumpier

RingOnFumes, the profiles on my Camry is 45 and I'm planning to set it up with eibachi springs and Kyb Gr2 structs. Hopefully, this combo can bring me some confort. I'm no too into performance, just want to ride comfortably while still have the look.

bzzt, less comfort.

you should know that comfort is a sacrifice whenever going with less tyre aspect or lowered heights.

Nope. You'll be back here complaining about how things have gotten worse. Lowered/larger wheels/smaller tires/stiffer suspension does not equal comfort. Sorry this is one case where you can't have your cake and eat it too (at least not with the parts available for a Camry that I can think of).
