Unfortunately, you can't, Its an auto gen 3 4 banger. Its heavy and it has no power. All of your launches are going to suck. The best you can do is Torque brake it. Hold down the brake, get on the gas real good and then release the brake when you are ready to go. The only other ways to get a better launch with an auto is to build up the engine so it is more powerful, get a high stall torque converter, or do a neutral drop which will definetly kill your transmission after a while.

what he said. just remember to put the car in nuetral and let it cool down after torque braking. If you are gonna abuse your transmission like that you'll need a transmission cooler. Heat will kill any transmission. :

goodluck racing... i guess that's what your doing...?

Everybody's right, there isn't much you can do but torque brake it but your gonna break stuff. I've broken two CV boots just from racing at the track. I will let you guys know how a gen 3 5sfe does with intake, header, full exhaust, and port and polished cylinder heads with a valve job along with cams. My first run will be when the track opens Feb 5th. We'll see.
