I have a 95 camry with a 5sfe, i was wondering if i could put in a 99 trany for the same engine, or even a 2000. Will the trany be the same for that engine no matter the year?
no i am on my second trans, i take my car off roading, and drifting, so on.. i blew 2 holes threw my last trany. but the reason i was asking is that i can get a newer trany for about 200 with 40k.. but mine right now is down shifting to late, i mean right as i slow down to stop it jurkes a little.. and it has never done that before.
will a v6 just drop in tho.. or do i have to cut things. i know id need a wiring harnees and all, but would the engine its self just drop in, beside exhuast and stuff... hehe giving me ideas...
sweet thanks for the info... oh.. one more thing i herd that rebuilding an engine with 100k or more that has a good block is betta then doing a new one.. well for bmws at least is that ture.
the only differencein rebuilding is that at least you KNOW that it was done properly, whereas an engine with "low mileage" may have been beat on, or whatever....and you have no idea until you've dropped it in and started it
