Hand brake light Off and on

I've was driving alog yesterday and the handbrake lights keeps going on and off. I assume the rear Shoes are Sticking causing the light to go on. Sometimes in turns I feel a bit of drifting not 100% if it's the snow or the brakes.

Check the level of the brake fluid in the brake master cylinder resevoir. Chances are it is a bit low. Actually remove the cover and look inside. If it is low, refill it to bring the level to the full mark and the light should go off.

What Mike has suggested is the most common cause. Add some brake fluid, even if it looks okay. If the problem doesn't go away then we'll ask when was the last time the brakes were serviced etc.

I say have a look there too. That and the failure of the brake light sensor are the only two that I can think of, and the low fluid happens a good amount more than the sensor dying.
