Problem: Stock CD player won't play any CD! The display only says ERR1 anyone know what this means( 6 cd stacker in trunk)

"Err1" - Loaded disc is dirty or improperly inserted. Check disc and try again. Sometimes a homemade disk copy does this.

"Err2" - No magazine in changer. Insert magazine in changer.

"Err3" - CD player problem, cannot play. Eject the disc and try again.

"Err4" - Over-current, cannot play. Eject the disc and try again.

Try it with a purchased CD, that will read in another player without any problems.

weird... cuz as I was listening to a purchased one and it just stopped right in the middle of a song and displayed err 1. Looks like I'll have to crack it open(see if the lens is dirty or somethin'). thanks

Make sure that purchased one is not scratched or does not have a finger mark smudge on it.
