3rd Generation auto shift knob

Does anyone have pictures of anything besides the lump of an automatic shift knob for the gen 3's? I want to replace it with something better looking then take out the lettering plate and wrap leather up to the knob to give it some style...

A lot of people have modified their shift knobs. I can't remember who it was that put a manual looking know on it and wrapped the rest with leather to cover the lettering plate like you want to do. I think at least two users have done it, I remember one of them being a Gen 4. I don't have the wood trim anymore, but here's my shift knob:

I'd get the boot, that C/F is damn sexy. Carbon Fiber in general is sexy.

If I had money burning a hole in my pocket, I would get the Razo RA92.

Japanese site:

English site:

Hella hot. Runs about $105 USD though. :-\

Lol RA92 = 1 hell of a job to keep clean......

Chrome only looks good if it is clean and finger print, oil prints.... free. Since it is something you will be holding on and touching everytime you drive, it wont keep clean very long.

=P

But doesnt toyota have a leather wrapped auto gear stick anyways? or do you want to change the complete look?

right on phoenix i have that same interior. Im going to go with the momo all black leather shift knob, wrap it with a black leather boot, and match it with the black momo wheel for now... How long till you get your snail installed? I finally found a 1mz TRD blower, i should have it in the next few weeks...

check out the DIY, but what i did after unscrewing the shifter was pulling it straight up.. out go the wires from the inside! wire that to any switch to reroute your OD, or u can also pay more for a shifter with an OD button already, and wire it to that.

That's what I had in my camry, an APC Shifter w/ the boot covering the letter plate. I then put a switch on the panel sorrounding the letter plate for the o/d.
