ok......dont think this has been done before. Just want to know if anyone here know where i can buy small flexible Neon lights, so i can put it inside the gauge (currently i have LEDs, but they're not that bright)

i'm planning to put some flexible Neon inside the gauge (as shown above)

I reckon it's possible, what do you guys think???

i did that before and to be honest it didnt really put out alot of light.it made more a difference when i took the ligh bulb condoms off. in my opnion you would be better off with of the LEDs that are sold to fit in the 194 bulb sockets. or buy some regular LEDs and put more of them throughout the cluster to brighten it up

What you can do for the "flexiible neon" is use one of two things. They make this EL wire, which is wire that glows. Not too many colors available, the basics, blue, green, red.

http://www.xoxide.com/elwire.html

if you want good and cheap neon, cathodes and other stuff, check computer modding webistes, since the computers run off ofthe same 12v. The computer mods can work with the car!!

the other thing you can do is actually bend the cathodes. What you do is use a candle or controlled flame to heat up the tube (make sure you take it OUT of the plastic tubing before hand) and slowly heat it up. WARNING IT IS GLASS! IT WILL BREAK ON YOU! so once you heat it up, you slowly start to bend it to the shape you want. Then you just install it. Be careful though, since they can break. Cant find the website right now though.

I tried the EL wire route. I got 5 feet. At this point i think you would need 30 feet or so to be bright enough. That would be at least 35$. I think i have a cheaper solution.

I want to find a way to put 1 12inch CCFL, 1 10 and 2 4s in. THat would def be bright enough.
