im just tryin to get a scope of who would want coilovers for their camrys... im not a vendor but im tryin to get some made for my car... and they needed 25 units sold before they can start production... note these are different fromt he ksport/d2 stuff out there the quality of these guys' work is excellent and puts my set of d2's to shame... they already have kits for mr2s and 03+camrys but im tryin to get something for the gen3's something a lot better and hopefully get a cheaper price as well... my car will be going to their shop in a few weeks... so if anyone's interested please pm me ur email or u can list ur names here and ur contact info that would be great... help make the gen3s have better suspension
I think you should mention what the costs might be, as that would most likely be the determining factor for a lot of people, and is this strickly for gen3s, or can they make some that will fit gen4s and gen 5s too?
they have the gen5's available ... im not collecting any money or anything yet... the cost is still waiting cos they will need my car for fitting and other adjustments once that's complete then they will give me pricing so maybe about 1 week/2weeks from now i should get a pricing. but im just tryin to do this to get it as cheap as possible for everyone else since they will only be doing one run of these... mono tube design btw so everything inside is replaceable
its a good idea and all but i really think youd be hard pressed to find twenty five people with gen 3s willing to actually shell out the dough for coilovers, but thats just me. good luck
i'll post up info on the manufacturer as i get them... as for comparison to D2's these things are on my friend's mr2 and i love the way the feel... compared to the d2's i have the d2s are crap plus not to mention the clunking noise that was never resolved for that GB that we were in a couple yrs ago basically the stuff in my car are now considered junk... if u want u can buy the D2's from me hehehe... i would be more than happy to get rid of them as soon as these come out....
well this is sort of my catch 22... in one case if there's not enough interests at least i wont be able to even get my car into the shop for testing... on the other hand if i dont provide enough info i.e. pricing i still dont get enough interests to go into the shop for testing... it kinda leaves me in the middle... i just really wanna get my coilovers to work in the best way possible and i think this is the best way possible... they wont let me at this time because legal stuff they manufacture for a different brand and they are finishing up a contract so i cant disclose that info yet i cant even tell you who they manufacture for... until that shit is done... so please dont rat on this thread... im just tryin to get the best available for myself... totally selfish target here... if no one goes for it then no coilovers for me and i guess that's the end of that since i cant even get that part goin... u guys all know how it works and how TN works when it comes to groupbuys and startin shit up... look at how long it took to get the hoods/trunks and etc goin cos of same shit like what you're sayin...??? same shit different asshole that's what i think... hehehe like i said on the top i dont stand to make anything out of this deal i just want a set of coilovers that work and dont clunk!!! unless u guys got a better solution....
those spindles are a bit hard to find from where im at... not alot of junker gen4s and solaras around otherwise i'd be able to scam off some E153's already u're good cos u're in cali and lots of cars and chances of gettin them up in the NW not a lot of these goin around...
sorry man i didnt mean to bust your chops, if it was during the summer and i didnt have my car already lowered Id think about it, its just to hard to drop that kind of dough on my third gen. I wish you luck though
