hey guys i bought a pair of sylvania 9005(high beams) and converted them to fit the 9006(LowBeam) socket. I thought that the high beam bulbs are suppose to be 65watts but when i read the bulb, it said it is 60. whats the deal with the bulbs. will the 5 extra watts do a significant difference?
part of the difference is the physical design of the bulb as well- notice that hte 9005 bulbs do not have a "cap" on the end of hte bulb, while the 9006 bulbs do

Personally when I did it I didn't see any much difference, but I guess it didn't hurt since it costed nothing more and only took a few minutes to mod. So I guess it's kinda worth it.
I converted HB3/9005 to 9006 as well. Mine says 12V 65W. I think it doesn't look much brighter when we stand close. However, it shines brighter on the road and may look brighter from far end. Definitely worth doing. My only concern is the melting as Eye & Pussies experienced it.
