Does any one familiar wtih regulations on the color of the turn signal light on national level and NY states level? I have clear lense front turn singal housing and tail light housing and I want to put white colored bulbs into them instead of amber colored blubs. Would that attract cops in any way?
I want to try put the white colored bulbs into both front and back turn signal housings
I'll tell you off the bat. As your in NY, you'll have a ticket in a matter of weeks. Law says they have to be some shade of amber/orange in the front, and red or orange in the rear. I have all amber bulbs in my clear lenses cause I'd rather be safe and not have to deal with the cops.
I'd have to tell you to go with amber to be safe. I don't want to see you end up with a ticket.

5 Lug Corolla WHAT?
I once asked the same question to a guy who had been driving in NY for 15 years and he told me it don't really matter what color the signals light were as long as they gave some kind of signal. I doubted that was truth.
if you don't want to worry about being pulled over use orange or red, if not your always at risk. Especially if the cops don't have nothing better to do!
Don't be upset when the police express their 'individuality' with red and blue bulbs. If you cared about 'individuality' you shouldn't have bought a Camry . Jon.
wow I didn't even know about APC Titan bulbs, thank you JDsinMD, I have a 99 le with my clear corners coming in tomorrow and I was gonna keep the same bulbs thanks again, oh yeah I also have a new hide away headlight strobe coming in also, its gonna be nice, I'll try and post some pics
Nicely put. I guess I'm stuck with amber signal light. By the way JDsinMD, PIAA also have similar bulbs only more expensive (Mirror Organge as they call it).
Another thing.. Is that it makes it hard for people to see you signaling during a day. A few months ago I was at a major intersection at around noon, and there was a white Integra with clear turn signals and white bulbs - you could barely see that he was signaling. I'm sure it looks nice at night but it's not worth getting a ticket over, or possibly causing an accident because people can't see you signaling in the first place.
