Yes that is the 2.4 litter inline 4 cylinder with a FE head(Fuel economie).Why you ask that??

Actually that is the 4cyl 2.2L engine from the Camry/Celica/MR2.

If both are same type of transmission I would say Camry will win. I can speak for early gen 3 (92-94) but I dunno about 97, because I once drove a 2000 4cyl and it was hella' slow!

5S-FE is a engine code. It belongs to the "S" engine family of Toyota engines.

F = "economical" twin cam (narrow angle, around 22 degrees)

E = fuel injection
