Air Intake/Radiator Blockoff questions

Some of you guys may remember a few weeks back I was asking about making a grill intake, well I have basically figured it out. A buddy of mine replaced his radiator, so I took the old one, cut it up to size and am going to box off the back of it. This will be mounted in/behind my current grill (all cut up, only frame left), but it will be blocking off the top part of the radiator.
My question is, how much will it hurt the car to have the top few inches of the radiator blocked off? Also are there any modifications needed to make a new intake work, aside from removing the airbox and hoses and running some piping to it?

This is on a Gen 3 Camry by the way. Also, just incase anyone feels the need to tell me, I don't care if you think I am "posing" or being a ricer, by having something that looks somewhat like an intercooler in front, so no need to tell me.

hurting!no, there is no mods required for an intake. just remove the stock and replace with the new.

The radiator wont actually be cooling it, the piece of a radiator I'm using will be used for the front of the intake. It will be blocking off the cars original radiator, and will be cooler air because its coming from the front of the car, instead of from the engine bay.

Problem I just ran into, while mocking it up, I was looking around and it seems my original spot to run the intake tubing isn't there. So does anyone with a Gen 3('93 V6) know of anyway to run a pipe, between 2-3" if possible, to the front of the car, infront of the radiator??
Thanks a lot for all the help so far!
