3vzfe tranny's <----note the 's'

It would be nice to get some good solid tranny input. By the way this is in the US if there is a difference.

What is every MANUAL tranny (well transaxle...aka front wheel drive) that will bolt straight up to a 3vzfe. I have some blurry input so far.

From my understanding:

I have READ that the camry/ES300's 3vzfe's will bolt up to MR2 turbo transmissions, but apparently not the non turbo's. The trannys that come from the 3sfte's, or like 90-on later to like 00 or 99 MR2's. I have also read that 1mzfe's do NOT have the same tranny bolt pattern as 3vzfe's. But I have heard that those (1mz) bolt to the MR2 trannys listed above. But that info just written doesnt make sense (A bolts to C, B bolts to C, but A doesn't bolt to B). The 91-93 Camry/ES300's had manual options as I recall, so that is solid. But not the 94 to 96 (1mz anyway). Later there was.

I need solid input! Like will a 3vzfe motor bolt to a 2vz tranny? Would it stand up to it ok?

I am to obsessed with my tacoma 5VZ to put a 1mz motor in my buggy (eventually). Wiring wouldn't be as much fun with that particular system either I have been informed and 5VZ's cost too much lol.

Once again I NEED SOLD INPUT!!!

Any help would be much appreciated. Engine:3vzfe, tranny-?

you got it right.

all the i4/v6 tranny options will 'bolt up' (less a bolt or a different flywheel thickness or linkage) but the i4 ones will not hold the v6 power for very long.

in general, get the newer v6 tranny it will be stronger and sync better, a 2vz manual will bolt up but it is weaker.

its not that they DONT WORK, they do, but they arent strong as the v6 boxes.

also remember the v6 boxes have taller ratios.

2nd Generation

Just for reference, what would be a good manual to replace the auto in my '91 Camry V6?
