4th Generation Torque Spec for Rear Seat Belts

I'm swapping out the rear struts & mounts on my 98 Camry LE V6. To get at the 3 mounting nuts I need to remove the upper seat belt mounts (where the retractor attaches to the body.

For re-attaching the seat belt, anyone have a clue what the torque spec is on that bolt? I can't find it in a search or in the Haynes manual.

Thanks in advance!

huh you need to remove your seatbelts to put on new struts??? Ive removed my set belts before to take my rear panel out and i don't see how the seat belts have to do with the struts

but anyways i don't think there is a specified torque amount. just tie them down as hard as you can

get a deep socket and use ur hand.. get a good grip on the socket and turn with all ur might =D

cause u don't need a wrench or bar.. i mean.. they're seat belts.. just don't overtighten them

i tightened them with a socket without the wrench part.. those big deep sockets.. not the tiny ass ones.

It's hard to over-tighten that bolt. It's pretty hefty to begin with.

I went to about 60 ft-lb, give or take. Maybe I should go more, now that I have Tokico Blues finally installed.

P.S. I *despise* the design of the sway bar link. $110 for two new ones, and $5 for a pack of Dremel disks to grind off the old ones.
