Loud annoying siren from under hood??

Hello all, this is my first post on this forum. I have a 97 Canry with keyless entry and there's a non-stop annoying siren coming from under the hood, and the door light on the dash stays on also. JW if any of you guyshave any idea of what it could be. thanks

Is it the horn? How loud is it? Can you tell more specifically where the sound is located?

You also might want to tell a moderator to move this to the Camry forum, where it will get more attention.

If it's a aftermarket keyless entry it could be something wrong withthe door sensor. Probably thinks a door is open at all times. If it's really annoying try using the vallet switch to turn it off. Or try restarting the alarm system. Could be either your Alarm's problem or your doors. I gotta see it to know.

thanks, well the noise is coming from this little round thing by the brake master cylinder area. The keyless system is the stock Toyota device. I am not sure what could cause it. I checked the fuses and they all looked ok. The keyless remote no longer works and i tried to disconnect then reconnect the battery but the noise is still there.

I had a store install an aftermarket cd player about 4-5 months ago and i am wondering if that might have something to do with it...what do you guys think??

Is it connected to the Master Cylinder or the housing in any way?

The noise is coming from the keyless entry piezo... Does it look similar to this?
This is a piezo.... I have alot of knowledge of toyota security systems... Check under your drivers seat and see if there is a black box.. .If there is, let me know and we will go from there...
