4th Generation quick question about HIDs Xenon KIT

Hi all,

Im planning to buy my friend's Xenon HIDs Kit, but he has the H4 Bulbs. also i will be retrofitting my headlights using the D2S projector.

so my question is, is there any point of me buying my friend's HIDs Kit?? can I just get the D2S bulbs n plug it in?

Do not just put D2S bulbs in your current lights. They will put out all kinds of glare and blind oncoming drivers.

If you're going to put HIDs in your car with D2S bulbs, put some projectors in your head lights.

Your headlight is designed to be used with H4 bulbs and nothing else.

For HIDs, you will need a balast also, you cannot just connect it to the +12V and expect them to work.

He said there was a lot of glare because he didn't have HID projectors. HID projectors have a clear distinct cutoff line vs a traditional halogen backing that shatters the beam of light and creates glare.

That makes no sense. How does his kit, which has a socket specifically for the base of an H4 bulb, connect to your D2S bulb without serious modification?

I'm a little confused myself, but here's my take. Leasaunce, sounds like the kit you have there is an rebased aftermarket H4 kit. OEM quality HID kits are from Phillips and such (for cars like BMW, Mercedes ect.). And all those kits use 9006 bulbs and sockets.

So Leasaunce, unless the projectors you have, are made to fit H4 bulbs (which I've never seen), then it's not possible to fit H4 bulbs into a projector housing.
