4th Generation Mode button Temp/Clock

Everyone knows theres a mode button on the clock.. press it will change from time to temperature.. anyone knows how to make it default? I personally prefer it over the clock.

I believe it started on the generation 4.5's. (2000 & 2001)

Resurrected!

Are the harnesses the same for the clocks in gen 4-4.5?

I am assuming not, but hoping so.

i used the drive a Gen3 Camry, and my model didnt come with a Clock either...i took apart the dash and there was wiring for it (its a bit hard to see, you might need to hunt for it).
so i went down to the junkyard/wreckers and bought one used, and it was plug and play

as for the Gen4 Camrys, im pretty sure the wiring will be there aswell (but i recommend checking before you do anything), if there is wiring, just get one from another Gen4, and then you will be good to go

thats for the Australian Built Camrys though, i wouldnt have any idea about the US Built Camrys

4th Generation

Does it matter which side you sit on? Unless you sit in the back when you drive, the dash will prolly be the same except reversed. Same steering wheel, same stereo, sav HVAC...just in different places.

I was, though, unaware that Aussies were right hand side drivers.

The reason I asked is I dont want that green clock anymore and wondered if they made a bezel that covered it up.

yeah for the models without a digital clock here, yes they did make a little bezel to cover it up...(looks the same as the opposite side i think).
but since the dash is reversed for us, i dont think it would fit where your clock is located...
