Strut Mounts

Hey guys Im gettin new struts and axles put in my car and one of the mechanics that I talked to about gettin them installed told me that I would need strut mounts also. He also told me that they go for 50 usd a pop!! Is this true or is he hosin me?? Any help would be cool. Thanks!!

That's not bad... when I first bought my car I was told I needed front strut mounts and ended up paying $450 usd at the dealership.... I got hosed on that one.

I understand that the price isnt bad, but do I NEED to get these done just because Im doin the struts? He hasnt looked at my car yet??

It's your call. If decide not to replace now and it fails later down the road, you'll have to pay to have him remove the susp. parts to put new mounts on.
