I think my tires are rubbing
I have 17x7 ET 40 wheels on my 00 Camry with 215/50-17 tires and I think they were rubbing this past weekend, but I cannot see any evidence, scratches or cuts on the tire, that looks like they were rubbing.
I was going through a 270 degree right turn on ramp for a highway and I hear this weird noise that sounds like its coming from the left rear like the tire was rubbing the fender but I didn't see anything on the sidewall.
Is there any other way to tell if the tire is rubbing? I haven't taken the wheel off to look at the other side yet, but I can barely fit my thumb between the strut and the tire there. Could the tire be rubbing the strut?
