4th Generation Where is strut mount?

I've read through threads about strut mount but didn't really realize where is it locate in. I took a few photos under my car and I am curious to know where. I saw one of the threads saying that spraying silicone helps to eliminate the noise a bit. Thought I'd try it out and see how's the result. If not too much trouble, just copy and make a mark at the photos so I know where is the strut mount. Thanks!

Its not in any of those photos.
Its on TOP of each strut assembly, basically. Sandwiched between the car body and the top of the strut.

So where would we spray the silicone lube? Is it inside the black thing?

I'm curious on what kind of silicone your spraying in there. I have the same problem, and want to see if there's another other way to solve it without switching out parts.

silicone lube sprayed at the strut mount area might not solve any problems at all. At least not to my knowledge. You might want to try to tighten your struts bolt which is sitting in the mount first. That may help, if you're one of the lucky ones that haven't blown your struts yet.

My car is around 76k and whenever I go for bumps and uneven surfaces the noise always there. I know that spraying silicone lube would not be a long term solution. But if I really want to spray and see what's going to happen. Where should I apply the lube? Do I need to unscrew all the bolts and do it?

But I will try tighten all the screws first and see if its becomes a little bit better.
