4th Generation the low beam bulb

My left low beam bulb broken today, do you know how much to install a new one. Can I buy the bulb in store and install it by myself? And I also want to know whether I should change the right low beam bulb together? Thank you very much!

Ebay??

Don't bother with ebay. If you want a regular bulb go to Autozone, PepBoys, etc, etc, etc and buy a bulb for a few dollars. Most will help you install it. It takes 3 minutes (At the most) to do. Jon.

Do it yourself or you can ask them to help you out. You simply rip off wire harnes and then rip off the black rubber cover using the tab on it and then you release a metal clip that fastens the bulb, then you replace the bulb and put everything back. It takes 2 minutes per bulb depending on how stubborn your rubber cover is.

Ebay bulbs can be nice but if you use ur lights a lot dont get them. They proabably will last you less than a year. I didnt use mine much and they blew after about 1 year.

I have Sylvannia Silver Stars now, they are nice, but ultra pricy. I hope they last. I do recommend not just getting regular halogens. I recommend grabbing the Sylvannia XtraVision bulbs. THey are decently priced, but you get better visibility which really is nice and improves safety.

all you have to do is twist the black cap that holds the bulb in the headlight and just pull it out just be careful to not touch the bulb when u change it

and yes you should change both the bulbs so one wont be brighter than the other

Your owner's manual should show you how to change the headlight bulbs. Pay attention to what freestyle said about not touching the glass portion of the bulb. If you do, wipe it down thoroughly with alcohol before installing it, or you will get to change it again in a few months.

Thank you Mike! So you mean I must wear gloves when I am installing the bulbs?

You don't need gloves.

Sylvania Xtravision bulb - (9005) generally cost about $12.99. If you buy a 2-pack, it should be around $20.

Shop around, you may find it cheaper.

You don't really need gloves. Just be careful not to touch the glass portion of the bulb.

Oh, it didn't last long! Do you think there is some other thing that shorten the lifetime of the bulbs? Or do you mean I should get the Sylvannia XtraVision bulbs instead of silverstars?
