Since when did Toyota add 18hp to Camry V6??

3.0-liter DOHC
24-valve V6
210 hp @ 5,800 rpm
220 lb.-ft. @ 4,400 rpm

This is straight from Toyota's site. Is this new for 2003? It now has VVT-i (ES300) engine.

Also now standard moonroof on the SE and XLE V6 models + standard power driver's seat on all models.

thanks
Sean

Looks like toyota is trying keep behind the new competition, until new 3.3 V6 arrives.

well if that was the case(which it isnt).... id hope to see more than 210hp. I went over to lexus, and the ES300's HP is unchanged. I think we're gonna see some sort of change soon, somewhere, sometime, sooner or later.

afaik, VVT-i on the 1MZFE was introduced (at least in NA) in 1999, and it was on the ES300.

when I check the specification for Toyota Camry 2003 in Toyota Canada's website, the engine output is the same as last year's.. the US version of Camry has more horsepower than the Canada's version?

Toyota updated the website. It now shows 3.0L V6 VVT-i 210HP(like 2000CamryLEV6 wrote) with Standard 5 speed automatic.

5 speed manual is still only available with 4 cyl model (SE, LE)

They also have PZEV(Partial Zero Emission Vehicle)version of Camry with 151 hp and torque of 161 lb.-ft. @ 4,000 rpm.
