4th Generation Suspension Setup > Opinion Please!

I'm planning on dropping about a grand on upgrading my suspension on my 99 Camry V6. I was wondering if this would be a good setup (I'm still new to suspension).

Ground Control Coilover Kit

Tokico HP Struts
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOKIC...spagenameZWDVW

My questions about this, is would I have to buy new strut mounts, or do the struts or coilovers come with a new strut mount? I'm sure my strut mounts are either dead or dieing because I have 160,000 + miles on the Cam.

Also, if the setup above doesn't come with new strut mounts, will they come with these KSport Coilovers? > http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-01...spagenameZWDVW

My last question is should I go with both the Whiteline RSB AND FSB or just the RSB. I've heard some opposition to the FSB, as it causes the car to understeer. I don't know if this is a big deal or not because I couldn't find out what exactly understeering is.

Thanks for any help you guys can provide for me. If TN didn't exist I'd be a ricer.

well, first, your links don't work

and long story short, coilover covers are worthless

if you're willing to spend decent money, you may as well just get the ksport coilovers which are an entire assembly replacement, including the strut mounts with adjustable camber, etc

and then you should finish off with both front and rear swaybars for a better balanced car

Thanks. I have one more question: Would an 18 x 7.5 in rim with +38 offset first of all fit, and second look good with the Ksport Coilovers? If they would fit what profile tires would I need?

Thanks a million!

anything will look good with coilovers...that's a sure thing

and the rim should fit...though an offset of 40-45 would be better...but in the end, it will also depend on the actual design of your rim as well

and the best size for 18s is 225/40/18

Just go for the Rear Sway Bar. You car will handle more neutrally and be less prone to understeer and oversteer.

I have Tein coilovers with 17x7.5 rims with 225/40/17 tires and I had to space them out 15mm in the rear. The tires/rims rubbed the strut assembly. I believe the offset is 35. I second the coilover sleeves suck comment.
