Well... unfortunately, I got into an accident last week... there's no chassis damage that i could find but i do need a new front cross-member, bumper, hood, headlights, mirror, the right fender bent a lil bit but not really seriously. I also need a radiator... and maybe a water pump, idk i havent checked all that yet, but its there in my driveway.
Anyways, i had plans to customize the camry (92 4cyl 4dr Gen.3) this summer, however it seems i'll be building a little early.
Does anyone know of how i could do a lexus es 300 conversion? I want to do the lights and stuff over, and i thought that it would be really nice to try a new look. I've looked up and it seems that a 96-99 es300 should fit if i use the fenders & hood.
Could I use a camry front bumper body kit? ie: would a camry body kit still fit or would i have to use an es300 front body kit.
I want to go for a VIP look, something clean- the body will be shaved of the logos and trims on the side when i re-do the paint.
also i want to do some really nice deep-dish wheels...
idk if anyone will recognize this, but has anyone seen the commercial with the logo-less red 350z that has the wing, and the little angel/fairies? I think its for an a paint/body polish or finisher of some type. [complete black background and a bright torchred 350z]
Thats the kind of deep-dish look i'd like to achieve.
if any1 also knows prices or has a site w/ parts could they list 'em plz?
es300 front on a 4dr? i saw one it made no sense at all just buy the es300 straight out. if you had a coupe or wagon it would be cool. as for vip look get pictures and put them together to give you a goal to reach. ie: what rims you want body kit /lip kit. interior color combo.
no i dun really want an es 300, i just like the head lights lol. All i want is that sharp projector look. I already have ideas for the body etc, but i want to kno if anyone has any technical knowledge about it. ex: will all the headlights mount flush? will i have to use an es 300 crossmember?
if you had the opportunity to go crazy on your front-end right now what would you do?
Since i've scoured the forums, i thought i might make a more specific thread since no-ones really done this, and i haven't really seen any deep-dish rimmed camrys, let-alone one with a headlight conversion and lowered and/or on airbags.
photoshoppers are welcome, .
here are the rims i'd like:
they're dubspinner big homie rims for cars. the truck versions hav 6 spokes.
I'll post body ideas later.

air bags have been done on 2 camry's in my area and i've seen 3 es300 conversions. look at my camry and see there is no other on ther road like mine nobody on tn has the same projector retro fit either.
2wicked... How big are those flares on your fenders? and what size rim are you using to fill those (would they require diff. offsets... etc?)
Oh, and im sorry bout that, when i searched the scepter didnt come up, idk if ur pix were up at that time. Ur rims are hot, and i like em. Also, does anyone have a scale diagram of the camry? like an orthographic picture of side, front, and back, or maybe a 3D one?
I have a rendering that i drew and im gonna scan it and host it, but i want to make sure that its to scale. that way i can figure out how to work the style on the car. I've also got an idea for a projector headlight conversion cept it probably will get complicated.
Heres what i want to do:
Take the corner light--the clear corner for my 92 camry out, and have a clear-glass, black casing, turn signal.
That is a projector lamp casing for a 2002 maxima. do you see where the orange signal lamp is? on this one there is a semi-circular lamp on top of it as well, however in my idea for the camry, there is just 1 circle. I think that it would be even better if the clear corner and the headlamp assembly could be integrated into one unit. this would allow for a much better-looking design.
for the body kit i really like the lines on this lexus es kit:
I think that the skirts and front bumper should flow really well w/ the camry...
this is a more traditional vip look... I have some drawings with this style on the camry cept they're not totally to scale.
well im going to try and finish this drawing and do it to scale.
peace

no lowered camrys on the board!!!! you must be bullshitting me. Not to be all cocky or anything but i may have the lowest camry on the boards ( but woody may be lower, i dont know) And i havent seen any camry on airbags that i can think off, so yeah like allen said, search harder dude.

anyway, it's a sweet look! good luck with the project man, cause no matter what you end up doing, it's going to take endless ammounts of customization (which has it's benifits) but keep allof us updated.
i think a front end conversion from an ES would be pretty nice

Like everyone has said you obviously didn't search good enough, or didn't search at all. Allen has a deep rims on his Scepter, PLENTY of Gen 3 lowered Camrys (look at my sig for one, also Allen, Balla, Eye8, Nate, Tony, etc, etc, etc...), and there are a few Gen 3 Camrys with retrofitted projectors.
Nobody actually answered his question on the ES300 front end conversion.
If i remember correctly, no one was exactly 100% sure if the front end will fit perfectly.
But hey, if you can grab yourself a set of es300 headlights, hood, grille, and front fenders, try to see if it fits and share your results cause I have always been interested in that too

Correction! There are a few Camry's with the e300 conversion. I have seen two different Camry's with the conversion over the internet. I have the pictures saved, but the computer that they're on is down. IMO the conversion is pointless because there is alot of custom work!
There is a blue one that in the states. Look a little harder.
The other is an international Camry.
