i have $400 to spend on my camry and i dont know what to buy. my magnaflow muffler is getting installed this week when i dont work and my injen sri is in the mail =]. what should i do now? any ideas? i forgot to mention. gen 4 5sfe
get some new wheels but then ull need to get some springs/shocks
or upgrade your sound system or get some tints
i changed all my speakers/HU and added two 10s/amp
over the summer im getting a magnaflow muff and a sri also
already got that covered. the only thing id change are my speakers but as long as they hold up then im fine. my friend is getting me 2 12" type r for like 60 each and i think im going to power it with an orion 1200d so i got audio taken care of. the reason im doing stuff to my car is because of the audio, it throws too much weight to the rear of my car and it really feels slower even with just 1 12" in there right now. i got have tinti too =]. none of my friends can see inside my car.

o man if you have the extra money u should get some Alpine Type X OMG THEY HIT HARD O_O i wish i had money to get two 10s type X's and two alpine amps but my audiobahns will do for now
dont expect too much aftermarket stuff for the camrys i guess u can get a bodykit or some projectors
go do some maint and get your tranny flushed and change out your fluids! that would be the best not so 'mod' for you camry!
i would do that but my car is in tip top shape. i just got the engine rebuilt about 4,000 miles ago everything is changed except my coolant which im getting flushed this week (thank you dad for paying). i was thinking something along the lines of suspension but i know nothing about that. i heard tien or tein (i dont know how to spell it) springs were good but i think it would look funny dropped with 14" wheels.

hehe ur telling me i wanna get some 17''s this summer but i dont gave a driveway to park so who knows if any thieves decide to rob my wheels plus it might be a hassle for the winter
a drop on ur 14 hubcaps wont look bad i might drop mine on 14 hubs too
According to my local Toyota, You should do a TRANSMISSION FLUSH at least once a year.
oh god i didnt know that lol. i guess ill get that done too while im at the dealer. all maintenance costs i dont worry about because my dad pays for them. the money i get at work is just for gas and anything else i want to spend it on. i guess ill just save up a bit more unless someone sees a good upgrade. thanks guys.
Look at the long term, what do you finally want with the car including $: looks, performance, or both?
For around the $400 budget I'd suggest a set of tokico HP blue dampers, $60-70 each off ebay or other websites (use the stock springs or for another 200 lower the car alittle) but you do need an install, maybe 130 or so. You will definitely notice the difference if you have the stock dampers on.
A rear swaybar is a must also and this is cheaper, about $130+install.
You need good tires, not cheap, but there are a few 15" sizes around. With a 4 cylinder engine big wheels will hurt power, but look nice, cost alot more $.
I put on the steering rack bushing from SuperPro and the steering is less sloppy, 1.5 hrs labor and a $20 part.
