Question remote trunk release addon?

I have an 01 Camry w/ the dealer installed security system i believe. I'm not sure exactly which model it is, but the remote has 3 buttons (2 front, 1 back) and its sort of long and skinny.

Anyways, i want to add a remote trunk release. I found a part number, but i wasn't sure if this is the right one or not. Does anyone know for sure?

Remote Trunk Release 08190-33830

Also, I would assume that I would need a different remote to operate the trunk release (ie. a 4 button remote), but I haven't been able to find any information on it.

Can anyone who's done this shed some light for me?

Thanks in advance!

If this doesn't work look up a1elctric.com and look for trunk selonoid. The 15lb pull is $25 the 40 lb pull is about $40.

You can go by what you found or this doesn't matter. What you need is to find out about the alarm you have. IF it has a third ourput you just need a relay to hood up to this kit or the other you found. You will need some knowledge of alarms/keyless entry systems.

The main alarm unit is usually in the lower portion of the dash underneath the steering wheel. There Just remove the lower portion of the driver side dash. Be careful as not to break any mounting tabs or scratch anything. If you do not know what you are looking for, follow the alarm lED wiring to a little black box (it may be another color though). That will be the alarm. Look at the wiring coming out of it and there should be some wires that are not used. You will have to get a volt meter to test the unused wires. Just find the one that turns on when you activate the auxillary button on the alarm. That where you would hook up the solenoid relay then the relay to the selonoid. A1 electric has wiring diagrams

Excellent, I will take a look this weekend. thanks!

Sorry, but one more question for now.. I only have the 3 button remote (lock/unlock on front, and panic on back). Will the newer style remote work with it, assuming i have a dealer installed rs3200?

like this one:
