Question oil change question?

I have a camry 6cyl 98 191,474 on it, I reg. take it to jiffy lube or any place to give it oil change. Yesterday I did an oil change on it I use syentenic blend oil 10-30, but on the oil cap on the car says 5-30 is this going to be a problem.

I wanted to use syntenic oil but auto zone says that syntenic oil is only good if you started out using syntenic oil on the car if I change it to syntenic oil it will find week point and start leaking oil.. is this true? they say that it is okay to use syentenic blend oil that is what I am running in my car right now..

no using w10-30 wont affect the engine but just switch back on your next oil change

and it is kinda late to switch to synthetic after 100K miles

I'm using Mobile-1 Synthetic (High mileage vehicle formula) 10W30 for my 92 V6 Camry. It definitely runs better that with conventional oil. BTW is 430,800 km (about 267,686 miles). I'm also using Mobile-1 M102 high performance/ high capacity oil filter. Oil change interval is 8,000 - 12,000 km depending on driving conditions. Actually I'm not sure that you could find "High mileage" Mobil-1 in States. So far I've seen this brand only in Canada - Wall Mart or Canadian Tire. I've tried Mobile-1 "Extended Performance" before. In terms of engine response it behaves same way, but leads to extensive oil consumption on my old engine.

ive just started using synthetic at 260k km, switched from Castrol Magnatec/Startup 10W40 to Mobil 1 SuperSyn 10W30.

i may be paranoid but i DO notice that the car pulls much better in colder weather.

In all honestly, synthetic has detergents that clean up inside of the engine. IF you have a leak and its not leaking because of oil build up (sludge), it will clean it out and start leaking. But it all depends if you have leaks to begin with.
