trany swap

i am about to order a manual trany for my 95 camry wagon with the 5sfe, i have the clutch peddle and the cylinder, but i was wondering if the flywheel will bolt right up instead of the flex plate or is the bolt pattern differ.. i know it uses differ bolts tho.. and a 99 trany should work with the 92 - 95 engine.. bc the engine did not change untill 2001.. and all the contectors and speed sensore should hook right up right? anything else i should look out for or change.. i have done engine and trany pulls before...

I believe you also need the brake pedal as its smaller on a manual vs. automatic.

Which tranny are you getting and which car is it from (yr, model, engine, etc..)?

Depends on the flywheel. If its from a 5S-FE with manual tranny, it'll bolt up.

There may be flywheels from other engines that work, but I'm not sure.

If the flywheel is in good condition, have it resurfaced. Replace the clutch assembly (clutch disc, pressure plate, and throwout bearing).

Might want to also look into new shifter cables and slave cylinder.

the trany is a 99 trany from a camry with a 5sfe... the trany has about 30k.. should i still have that flywheel resurfaced from that trany should i even replace the clutch, it only has 30k... i know i should look at if first when i get it.. everything else is taken care of.. all i need to do is rewire the trany conect so it thinks its in nutral and put in the trany
