Going to buy a chrome exhaust tip. Anyone know the size for a Gen 5 and/or know a good looking brand?
I thought it would be a good addition to my car since I have a chrome license plate cover, the chrome trim on my Gen 5 trunk, and my altezza tail lights have chrome housing. I could care less about sound.
I was planning to do the same. I have been looking at some tips at the local muffler shops. They usually have very nice tips. I am going to have 2wickedtoys weld it on for me.
DOES ANYONE KNOW IF TRD HAS TIPS WITH THEIR LOGO ON IT? PLEASE LET ME KNOW...I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY. THANKS.
I just bought a Toyota OEM (made by Valor) exhuast tip. It's a bit fat/wide but I like it. It's different. It ALMOST looks like I have some sort of custom exhuast setup

Just don't buy the cheap ass $10 ones from Canadian Tire.
I bought one last summer (a bolt on model from Canadian Tire that fit my gen 4.5) and it looked good until mid season when I noticed that it was starting to rust. I guess it was not really Chrome after all. Probably just bare metal.
personally, i'd stick with stainless steel. chrome is just a metal coating. if it gets scratched or chipped, the metal will start to rust. same as paint on a car. stainless will never rust. i think it is worth paying more (generally twice as much for the same style tip) to get stainless the first time and be done with it, knowing it won't rust.
