4th Generation p0770 Torque Converter lockup

HI all. My cel is on for about two months now with the code p0770. (torque converter lockup switch malfunction). I have searched the forum and found some information about it. flushed the system 2 times and even changed the solenoid switch. still the cel is on. as far as driving is concerned, the shifts are smooth. The RPM stays at 1800 at 80KPH and there is no sudden jump in the RPM when the gas is kikked a little bit as mentioned in the forum which in case of a bad lockup, the RPM would jump a couple of hundreds. what may e causing the cel. pulled the code last week. SAME P0770. please help.

Check all your brake lights are they working properly? Are you getting lockup going down the road? (You can check by very lightly putting the brakes on while holding the gas steady going down the road. Your rpm should jump a little when you touch the brakes if you are getting lockup.) Is everything else working properly?

yes all the brake lights are working and the rpm do jump a little after slightly applying brakes on or above 80KPH. already done that just forgot to mention it. but what do you mean by everything else. what else is associated with the lockup.

A lot of different things can prevent TC lock up( temperature,Vehicle speed sensor, brake switch, poorly running engine, etc.) but the fact that you do have lock up can rule those out.

Have you tried erasing the code to see if it comes back?

Yes i have tried erasing the codes and it do come back after 30 minutes of driving. I have also read somewhere in the forum that if the TC is a little slow in locking up it will throw the same code. This is the only option remaining other than a faulty TC.
