Gen5 Lights the same size?

Are the head lights and tail lights the same size on the gen5 and the gen 5.5? I like the new design better than the old.

Not certain, but be prepared to do some rewiring to get the new lights to work though.

for both the headlights and taillights, there will be some rewiring involved, particularly for the parking lights, you might also find the wire length might be an issue ive heard...

well good luck with it

Actually, it's just the headlights that need rewiring. The taillights are a direct plug-in replacement, but they don't fit exactly 100%. There's just a little gap, but it's not a big deal.

hmm, its the taillights I was really hoping to be able to replace....

I guess I would also enjoy some SE lights too..

I dunno, it'd be fun... but not worth more than 200...

for the headlights, a simple mod would be to take them apart and then painting the chrome parts black so it looks like hte se lights

the taillights may still need a little bit of rewiring though...
the indicator and reverse lights will be the same (no problem there), the parking lights and brake lights on the other hand, arent the same exactly...

if you notice, the Gen5.5 has 4 parking lights, whilst the Gen5 only has 2...
the Gen5.5 has a double filament bulb with both a parking light and a brake light function, the Gen5 doesnt, so you will need to wire those to work
unless you only want one set of parking lights to work (the inside pair)
