heated seats

Anyone know anything much about the heated seats? They do not seem to be working. Any thoughts on how to test them?

better have them not working than having them burn ur ass. my old car's heated seats messed up, you would be driving and smell burning flesh, and then after a couple of minutes, you notice that the burning flesh is actually yours and that it hurts a lot. :S

True story:
I once rode around for 2 hours with spilt coffee on my pants because it was the first time I'd been in a car with heated seats and I thought the hot feeling was just the seats kicking in.
